Adapted from Hans Christian Anderson's "The Ugly Duckling"

The following lesson from The Seven C's of Thinking Clearly, grades 2-6, is a good example of character based learning. It inllustrates how to take familiar fairy tales and create a character based learning experience from almost any form of literature. The focus is on bullying and the false or misleading belief systems that so often underly bullyism.
